We aim to make Mathematics lessons as interesting as possible so that all students, leave the classroom with a passion for the subject.
Students follow a course based on the National Numeracy Strategy Framework, where the National Curriculum is divided into half-termly modules. These modules are made up of approximately 55% 'Number and Algebra', 25% 'Shape, Space and Measure' and 20% 'Data handling'. Students are set according to mathematical ability and each set follows an appropriate Scheme of Work.
Key Stage 4 Year 10 students study the appropriate tier of the EdExcel 1380 GCSE Mathematics syllabus, which is assessed as follows:
