Rivers of the World Project. The Mayor's Thames festival.

This year a group of our Year 8 students took part in a project entitled Rivers of the World.

This is the flagship art and education project of the Thames Festival Trust sponsored by TSHB and is delivered in partnership with the British councils' Connecting Classrooms initiative.

Earlier this year our students were linked with a group of students from the Ferences Gimnazium in Budapest Hungary. They worked with artists to create magnificent art works which are now exhibited on the South Bank river walk. Their work was exhibited at the OXO tower last month and will feature in exhibitions in Budapest and Paris later this year.

Throughout this academic year our students will continue to work in partnership with the Hungarian school in an exchange cross curricular project about the rivers Thames and Danube.
