The Comenius Project.

This year we continue to work closely with our arts college partners in Milan, Valladolid and Brussels on joint projects and exhibitions. This partnership is well established and is now in its eighth year.

Last October, staff and student representatives from Years 12 and 13 visited the Escuela de Arte at Valladolid for a week to plan the year's project which culminated in a fantastic exhibition  ‘Metropolis, the City and the People' at  Brentside in April 2009.

During the partnership visits students attend classes at and visit museums and galleries with their counterparts from the other schools. 

Throughout these projects, which are funded by the British Council and European Council 

excellent links and friendships are established between students from different countries .

 Students and staff very much enjoy and benefit from the sharing of knowledge of each others cultures and creative ideas. This is always reflected in the very high quality of art and design work produced.

This October again we are visiting our Spanish partners to plan a major joint project for exhibition in Brussels in April 2010 which we are all looking forward to.
